This probably refers to Jim Perry, a local business man who designed the first mobile sand blasting trucks. During the war he went through training as bomber navigator and was trained on the Norton Bomb Sight. I believe the war ended before he was assigned to a flight crew. He still has 4 sons who live in the area. They are Travis, Ronnie, Michael, and Keith. They should know a little more and have a photo available.
