Gray D. Wade, son of Molly Wade, Olney, husband of Elois Blount Wade, attended Olney Public Schools. Entered the Navy 1943, trained at the U.S. Naval Training Station, San Diego, CA.  Served in the Philippines and Australia.  Came home on the USS BRETON, one of more than 250 carriers, battleships, cruisers and attack transports in the Navy's "MAGIC CARPET" fleet.  Honorable discharge December 1, 1945.
 
Gray D died in 1963.  He was followed in death by his wife Elois in 2008.  Both are buried in Restland Cemetery in Olney, Texas.
